Random comments about the Nutrimill:
I got a Nutrimill for Christmas. My attempts at grinding posole for cornbread were interesting. I was finally able to get the posole to feed through the hopper by manually pushing the grains around. The vibrating action of the hopper isn't very effective on really large grains, you see. At the coarsest setting it was still a pretty fine grind for cornmeal. I hear that's a common complaint for the Nutrimill--it doesn't do coarse flour, despite the settings. It sounds like a fairly loud vacuum cleaner. The flour in the hopper is warm, but not burning hot. If the mill is doing lots of damage to the grains, I feel like there should be a stronger smell in the air after grinding. I don't really notice much of a smell.
 Good luck choosing a mill!
