Here’s a big cheer for my buddy Pete Bishop. He’s giving up soda pop for a week to see how he feels.
I talked to him on Sunday and he had been off soda for 5 days. He used to eat a meal once every day or two and sometimes would forget to eat because he was almost never hungry. However, he told me he would think nothing of drinking a 2-liter Coke while sitting down to watch a movie.
Since giving up pop, he has been more hungry than ever, eating 3-4 meals per day. He said his perception of time has changed and everything seems slower. Wow!
In addition, Pete has been getting regular exercise this year.
What great steps on the path to better health. I’m rooting for Pete because I want him to live a long healthy life.
