Hi Brian,

I managed to wander by your site and I love it! I was hoping you don't mind replying to this comment on your old post - I need to ask about your white sauce - What is the proportion of the butter, flour, milk you used?

I'm nowhere near a whiz at making my own sauces - All I know is that they come out of a can. So if you could, I would really appreciate it if you can share a few recipes for simple sauces, and the usual proportions used.

Thanks in advanced!

Regards
Jenx
(P.S.: Tried making the beef & barley soup in your 2007 entry... Was quite proud of it :D)

That sounds quite good to me. I agree that shrimp would likely go well. One of my favorites is "macaroni cheese burger", which is just macaroni and cheese with some burger meat added. However, we haven't had this in quite some time because my daughter didn't like it and I try to minimize the refined carbs (my wife makes it with plain macaroni - she doesn't like the whole-wheat kind). But I still would enjoy eating it once in a while :)
